On our walk on the Camino de Santiago we visited many chapels, churches, cathedrals and basilicas. We couldn’t count them all, and in each and every church was a statue, painting or carving of...
So many hotels, thirty-nine in a forty-nine day trip. It was truly strange checking into a hotel and checking out the next day, and then do it again and again, especially when they were...
Chris and John visited every church they could find open along the Camino. Chris became intrigued with the baptismal fonts in each church. Almost all were carved from one piece of stone. Most of...
Saint James is with each pilgrim on the Camino, all along the Way. He has many representations that we recorded with our cameras. He is in one statue, a pilgrim with his staff and...
The flight home was long, three different flights. We first flew from Granada to Barcelona and had a two hour lay-over. The next leg was Barcelona to Toronto and after two movies, two meals,...

Our body and minds are tired. We are on our second to last walk on the Camino. We don’t quite know yet our emotions. We are very excited for tomorrow and our walk into...

Our Pilgrimage
Welcome to our Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage blog. Hope you enjoy traveling with Chris and John as we challenge our minds, bodies, and souls.
The Walk of Saint James for us will enable us to strengthen our spirituality; explore five different regions of Spain (Basque country, Navarra region, La Rioja wine country, Castile / Leon region, and Galicia region); visit 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites: meet many fellow pilgrims from many different countries; and most importantly, continue our love story which begin fifty years ago.
